To be massaged I will ask you to stay in slip if you are a men, and slip/bra if you are a woman. Only the area of the body to be massaged will be uncovered.

During a relaxing massage you will simply lay on the bed in prone and supine position enjoying the massage. This kind of massages will cover the whole body, from feet to face. These massages usually consist in a soft and light pressure on your body. The level of pressure varies according to the desire of the client.

During a sportive massage you might be asked to change positions several time to facilitate my work in addressing your problem at best. According to your need, the massage can vary from being pleasant to be painful in case of contracted areas. Normally the maneuvers I will be using are deeper that a relaxing massage.

During an anti-cellulite massage, you will simply lay on the bed in prone and supine position. Normally the areas of the body addressed in this massage are legs, abdomen, glutei and arms. This massage consists in an initial phase of warming the area and then applying different maneuvers to address the issue.

During a lymph drainage massage you will simply lay on the bed, in prone and supine position, enjoying the massage. This massage consists in extremely soft and superficial maneuvers to stimulate the lymphatic system that is present just below your skin.

During a reflexology session my work will focus mainly on the feet. If asked reflexology can be applied also to hands and face. Moreover, if the client agrees, a complementary work can be done on the body through digital pressure.

Each massage varies enormously to another. Even among the “relaxing massage”, one might be more appropriate for you. I will therefore always have a small chat with you to know which are your objectives to be able to offer you the best experience.

Reflexology was born in the Eastern culture but there are indications that this practice was present already in some ancient cultures to treat body’s unbalances. In the western world this kind of massage is less known compared to others, even though it offers tremendous benefits. Reflexology is based on the Traditional  Chinese Medicine that sustains that our body is composed by 12 meridians that run along our body from feet to head, back and front. They represent a sort of energetic path that helps the organs in our body to be well nourished. Importantly, the most important 6 meridians are present in the feet. Emotional or physical trauma, unbalanced nutrition, lack of physical activity can disrupt these energy lines causing illness.

A Reflexology session consists in massaging and applying digital pressure on your feet in order to rebalance your whole body. The same practice can be done to your hand and face where minor, but still important, meridians are present.

There is also the possibility to integrate the reflexology session with some complementary techniques on your body that will facilitate and integrate the work done on your feet. These techniques consist mostly in digital pressures applied to your body and in minor part in basic massage techniques.

According to your training schedule the massage you will receive will differ. Some massages are best to be done right before or after the competition or training and others are more indicated 24/48 before or after them. A open communication with you will clarify any doubt.

According to the type of massage you want to receive there a few things you could do to get the best out of it. Taking a warm shower right before the massage is especially indicated for people wanted to receive a sportive, muscular or anti-cellulite massage because it helps to warm up the body. By doing so, I will spend less time to warm up the body manually and get right to the point in addressing your need!

Generally speaking, taking a shower helps cleaning the body from possible impurity and it helps detoxifying toxins through the skin after the massage.

In case of a relaxing massage, I would suggest you to give yourself some time before the massage to relax your body and mind.

Most of the massages I do require the usage of some oil to slide over the skin. I mostly use almond oil since it has a neutral smell and it is not greasy.

In case you are allergic to almonds, sesame or Argan oil can be used. Be aware that sesame oil has a fragrant and nutty smell, while Argan oil is more expensive for me to use.

I will take with me the massage bed, towels and anything else necessary for you enjoying the massage. You just need to provide me a room that is not too small to give me the necessary space to move. In case the room is too cold, a heating blanket can be used to warm up the bed (I just need a place where to plug it in).

Massage is a gift you give to yourself and therefore it is important you feel comfortable and at ease during the time we spend together. If for any reason you have areas of your body that you do not like to be massaged, I will avoid them without any problem. Skipping a particular area will not affect the overall massage. At the contrary being in a state of discomfort and distress will prevent you to benefit from the massage. I will anyhow spend few minutes before starting the massage to ask you some questions that might be important for you to enjoy the whole massage experience.

Receiving a massage means also to stimulate your blood circulation and lymphatic system that is designed to fight against infection and inflammation. For this reason, it is recommended to NOT receive a massage during this time to give the body the possibility to heal itself.

There are some conditions where a massage is contraindicated such as: fever, diabetes, severe heart problems, sever thyroid problems, tumor, pregnancy (during the first and last 3 months), slipped disc, bruise, broken bones, infective conditions, during menstrual cycle.

According to the type of massage you might experience “side effects” right after it or within the 48h after the massage. Some massages aim to remove muscular contraction, to improve blood circulation, to stimulate the lymphatic system and it is therefore normal to experience muscular discomfort, headache, sweating, frequent urination, skin redness after it. These are all indications that the body is removing toxins out of the body.

Be aware that a reflexology session might give you more than one symptom because it can address several unbalances in the body.

Receiving regularly a massage represents a great opportunity for you taking care of yourself.

If you are someone practicing a lot of sport, a massage can help you preventing muscle sprains and to perform better during your competition.  If you suffer from water retention or cellulite, a massage can help you enormously to stimulate blood circulation and the lymphatic system to remove swelling and toxins. If you have a stressful life, a massage can help the body and the mind to relax.

According to your needs, you can receive up to 2 massages per week in the first month and then together we can decide which is the best program for you. It is important to realize that a massage gives you the best results when combined with a healthy diet and physical activity.

A massage is meant to make you feel better and give you most of the benefits. The applied pressure is an important component of the massage and it varies according to your needs. During a relaxing massage the pressure will be obviously light, whereas during  a muscular massage the pressure will be deeper to reach deep tissues. Pain is a subjective reference: for some people a specific pressure might be painful and for others too light. Therefore the massage is going to be always adjusted to your needs and requests.

We live in a stressful and active society and I believe that, nowadays more than ever, each of us need some time for ourself. I therefore invite you to use this small window to relax and avoid possible distractions such as talking. Said so, you are free to talk as much as you want.

The massage’s world is often associated with sexual connotations. It has to be clear that I am a professionals masseur and I will not accept any invitation or behavior that is distant from what I am doing. I consider the body to be a beautiful creation and I have no problem to have you naked during a massage if this helps you relaxing. Needless to say, you will be always covered and intimate parts will never be exposed.
